Three parallel stories unfold over the course of a single night in Jakarta, a city akin to its people: forever changing, never settling. Drawing on themes of modernity and traditionalism, the question of whether progression is in the best interest of the city permeates the narratives. Each character is battling their own internal conflict, and although they do not interact with one another, the juxtaposition of their narratives evokes a poignancy greater than the sum of its parts. A truly beautiful and gentle film.
