Trick r Treat has been widely heralded as a return to old-fashioned storytelling a la Creepshow, Tales From The Crypt and Tales From The Darkside. Sure, all the comfy clichés are here, but it all gets rather tired very quickly. So much of it has been done before - I really don't understand the hype surrounding this film. And ripping off a scene from I Know What You Did Last Summer is hardly cherry-picking from the greats. However, there are enough good performances and beautiful cinematography to warrant a viewing.
