'Anatomie' was Germany's answer to 'Scream', but rather than knock off Craven's masterpiece, there's a sense that a script about a Hippocratic clan up to no good in Heidelberg was dusted off, given the teens-in-peril makeover and injected with a healthy dose of scalpel-waving. For the most part, it works, and despite the hokum, there's considerably more brains in these characters than those of Woodsboro. These are medical students, after all! A big hit upon its initial release but largely forgotten since, this is well worth a revisit. And dare I say it, the remake treatment.
