A fascinating journey into the lives of two teenage girls in Iran. I was gripped from the very beginning, and I challenge anyone who has made sweeping remarks, generalisations and resorted to stereotype when it comes to Iran to not be bowled over by the maturity and charm of this film. The performances are very touching, and what with all this coming from a debut woman filmmaker makes it all the more incredible. Apparently she and her family are now banned from Iran because of the notoriety of this film. It just goes to show that in many of these demonized countries, there are voices we must listen to, yet look for.
