I'd have to say there is so much anger and pent-up dark emotions in this film. Starting off with the guy Goda (Shinya Tsukamoto) who lost his girlfriend when she shot herself, and up to the gang members and Chisato, the sleazy lady who is associated with the gang. Set in black and white, the tone and mood of the film is in itself full of tension and hate. There were scenes that are so right-out violent that may not suit other viewers but I think those were essential to add depth to the story. Tsukamoto comes up with yet another masterpiece with this film, just as he had done so with films like "Tetsuo" and "Tokyo Fist". The soundtrack and musical scoring by Chu Ishikawa was very impressive, adding more to the tension and suspense of every scene. This is worth checking out!
