A straight-forward talking heads documentary packed with archive photographs and footage, it is more like a variety pack of mini-docs covering Cocteau, Arp, Ernst and of course Pollock, with the eccentric character of Peggy weaving them all together, by presence alone - like how a curator would stand in the corner of a gallery, watching the punters archly. As such we never really delve into her head, but never mind, as we are shown the magnificence of her collections and the glory days of cities past, that's the point of this doc, really. There are fascinating anecdotes, particularly around her war time experiences, it's one of those rare docs about someone who was associated with something, not at the core of it, yet still has you hooked.
