Very surprised to discover this classic film on Filmdoo. It's very rare that you see films from past eras and the quality of the film looks clear and well-restored for viewers of recent generations to enjoy and cherish. There is something about black and white films that transfix viewers to another dimension and this film captures the action and conflicts well. While the story tells of a mother who eventually realizes that her son should join the protests, she and her son do belong to the collective but they stand out because of their strong and decisive characters. Even without dialogues and only subtitles to guide the viewers, this film still managed to convey intense emotions. A classic Soviet film that you should check out!
