Viewers who are not so familiar with director Egoyan's directing style will somehow feel lost and alienated with this film.  It's common knowledge that the director doesn't really commit to a specific style and experiments with flashbacks and fast forwards and he employs exploratory ways in film making.  Still, this is an admirable film that follows one young man's quest for the truth surrounding his parents' demise.  Very solid acting performances especially by Bostick and  at some point this film will leave viewers guessing what's real and what's fiction in the scenes.  A very compelling movie that will leave you with countless questions as it examines the nature of human thought, among other things. Worth checking out!
