Wow. A beautiful film from a Saudi woman director about the lives of Muslim women in a very conservative and tribal Riyadh suburb. Apparently the director was out of contact with the film crew, using only a walkie-talkie because contact with men is forbidden. What with the added fact there are no cinemas in Saudi Arabia, the restrictions on going about making this film must have been huge.This will open your eyes and make you hungry to see more films in Arabic! Will be keeping an eye on this director.
