An oiled up Tarzan/Chippendale/Diet Coke ad manbeast hunts down a group of scientists through a bunch of gloomy corridors for 90 minutes in this mildly diverting subterranean schlocker. Giovanni Ribisi seems to have been parachuted in from a stoner comedy, while Lance Henriksen nails the cue cards. Written and produced by Wes Craven's son, there's the slightest, teeniest shade of Hills Have Eyes about it, but that's about it. Still, at least it has that very rare thing in horror movies: a gym-buffed man monster ripping his shirt, scalp AND ears off, all at once.
