It's often said that the history of a certain country and culture can be reflected in its music, dances and arts. The same holds true for the South African music industry. As it was observed, the street culture and together with it the people's expression of freedom as evidenced in its music  and arts took a very liberating stance when the country finally found freedom. In terms of music there was the evident rise of lively, bubbly and energetic electro music that's been gaining fame even in other countries.  Viewers can observe, from the views and ideas given by the various people interviewed within the African music scene that the evolving sounds are being continuously recognized, more so because of the dawn of the internet era. More African artists have been discovered via Youtube and other online sources. There is indeed great promise in the local music scene and international music afficionados are taking great notice of that. Music in itself has a power to get people together, to be united with a goal and purpose. Engrossing, interesting and the music featured here will surely invite you to get up and dance.
