Initially distracted by the eyebrows of the characters but eventually immersed myself to the cultural significance of it all. This Paradjanov film sure has its strengths but also its flaws. Viewers get to acquaint themselves with various cultures like Armenian and Georgian but most importantly it also features ample use of visuals and not much in terms of speech.  This film reaped awards at various film fests like European Film Awards and Istanbul International Film Festival.  Worth checking out!
