Definitely not your usual Jackie Chan movie! He sheds his goody goody and funny characters in this film that tackles the plight of immigrant Chinese workers in Japan. What I see in here is a matured and complex character in Chan, the innately good guy who becomes swallowed by the unjust systems and with the goal to help his fellow immigrants. Commendable performances especially by Daniel Wu, another notable actor worth watching for. Remarkably shot, dramatic and so intense, never dare miss this film! Be amazed with how Chan convincingly pulls off a dramatic role!
