This film is said to be Fellini's gift to his wife, G. Masina who portrays the lead role as Juliet. Scenes vividly bathed in various hues and his first feature film in color, the story is interesting although it pales in comparison to earlier works like La Dolce Vita and 8 1/2. The production design here is commendable though and the cast is impressive, with Sandra Milo still in here, a known regular in Fellini films. Trademarks of the director's style which include parades, fantasies and horses, among others, are also observed here. Watching this movie takes me back to those glorious years of the 60's! Do check this out guys.
