Comic book action on a big screen. Looks good, well acted lead in Kate Beckinsale, there is something lacking in the story. It goes from one battle to the next one with very little substance in between. The battles follow the usual film variety ... Keep blasting away and you will, by the law of averages, hit something like a target. It is a pity because it is stylishly filmed.
