'Estamos Juntos' is an intriguing look inside the lives and loves of Sao Paulo twentysomethings. The group is led by the charismatic Leandra Leal as Carmem, a trainee doctor who cannot help addressing the poblems of others rather than her own. Along for the ride are gay best friend Murilo (Caua Reymond) and handsome Argentine lover Juan (Nazareno Casero). The narrative is scattershot, touching on several issues from civil rights to birth control, sexuality and palliative care, which all lends to an interesting patchwork of Brazilian mini-stories but don't quite add up to an effective whole. However the game performances and an upbeat soundtrack carry them along nicely.
