The village of Bang Rajan is the setting for one of epic and bloody battles in ancient Thailand. Tanit Jitnukul's film clearly depicts the bravery and nationalism of the villagers in Bang Rajan as they battle against the Burmese army without the support of the royal army. The set, costumes especially the wide horned water buffalo completed the movie. The triumph of the Bang Rajan villagers is not with their final battle but the legacy they left in Thai history.
