An aching portrait of a very lonely man who is confused about his sexuality, yet yearns for companionship and a leap forward in his stand-up career. Very gritty and lo-fi in that way a lot of London-set movies were in the nineties only with an added Dogma-esque spin, it has an undeniable charm and a mesmerising performance from Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Skins). It's not often British cinema produces a film like this.
