I find this a very interesting film.  The story of the American wife with a Japanese husband who has a daughter from his former wife commands attention just like the 2 other stories. Adjusting to one's step-daughter was a daunting task for the wife but she was able to hurdle it and in the end there was  a positive resolution with a happy ending in view. Admired the wife's patience, understanding and her devotion to the family, not to mention her conscious effort to learn the Japanese culture and language. Very engaging film to watch!
