Like a mother to her child, she gave him what he needed. Love, friendship, protection, food and care. She made sure that nothing hurt him, not even the blizzard that threatened him, that tore her flesh apart exposing her veins, nor the wind that would cut her wire and make her fall to the ground in front of him. For her light would continue for the flower that she cared for. It speaks about undying love in a rather metaphorical way. I love the poetry of it and how it depicts the harshness of life and how love alone can give us assurance and strength to become our full selves.
