This is about the discovery of self and family.  This is about one’s search for maturity, about Denny, a pleasure seeking country boy who, after having become estranged from his mother, finds himself immersed in emptiness of the booze, babes and bops of Berlin.  This is also the story of a mother’s yearning for the love of his son. Meanwhile after having given birth to a baby, his mother yearns for Denny and sends Frank, her new husband, off from the countryside, to look for him, never realizing that his mission, which he felt strongly about, would change him too in ways he did not expect.
