French love - oddly intense. The romance between Carole and Delphine was perfectly convincing and heart breaking at the same time. The conflict between their desire to be together and their expected societal role intensifies the film. What makes it more interesting is the time period that Catherine Crosini chose, it gave more compelling scenes, the chaos of the time frame made it more delightful to watch.
