Woodland Heights cinematography and film-score is brilliant. Despite of these, it suffers from its cliche plot and premise. Based on the urban legend "The Hook", Woodland Heights does not take any new approach to the story. Instead, it becomes a short classic retelling of the urban legend. Excellent cinematography, set design, film-score, and vintage costumes, however, gives this film a solid 3 stars.

Don't go anywhere too secluded when you're looking for privacy... Despite a fairly cliche plot, Woodland Heights will still entertain viewers. Black and white cinematography, vintage production sets, and a rocking film score will definitely keep viewers glued to their screens. Of further note is Woodland Heights' film score. Background music is chosen brilliantly. Moreover, the music is interrupted timely by horror noises to keep viewers guessing and at the edge of their seats.
