Vampire Diary Synopsis

Filmmaker Holly invites the stunning Vicki to take part in a documentary she's shooting about the 'Weekend Vampire' phenomenon. A passionate and erotic affair quickly develops between the two women. Is it just a coincidence that a series of horrific vampire-style murders start occurring? Holly eventually discovers that Vicki is responsible for the killings and is devastated. Devastation soon turns to incredulity when Vicki explains that she is a real vampire.

"Loads of attitude and atmosphere, this is a terrific trashy vampire thriller with a nice emotional kick... a camp, artful little epic." - ShadowsOnTheWall.co.uk

"Lots of blood and plenty of girl-on-girl action" - Little White Lies

A real-life vampire conceals herself amidst vampire wannabes  of London Goth scene, pretty queer and interesting story indeed.  With scenes done in videography-like fashion, one is drawn instantly to the lead characters who embark on a passionate relationship, Holly (Mcbeth) and Vikki (Walton), with the latter being a real vampire. A lesbian romance themed film, the added twist of Vikki being pregnant reminds me of that Twilight flick where the lead star was also portrayed as such.  Unconventionally scary in a way but nonetheless engaging to watch.

Some may dismiss it as a lesbian vampire flick but I think it's more than that, it's also a story of romance and how one person can go to great lengths to help a loved one, never mind if she's a vampire.  As a low-budgeted indie film, the cinematic quality is forgivable and if one focuses on the story itself it can be simply appreciated.  Commendable performances by the actors is its asset and for horror genre fans this is something of a treat!

  • The allure of the vampire never ends. I wonder if its the immortality aspect or the blood.
