To be born in the wrong body is hard enough but to be raised in a religion which does not accept you is just shitty. Religion is supposed to unite people and not divide them or judge them but nowadays, that's what has been happening. It's rare to find a place or a community that celebrates identity. There always have to be rules and people claiming they know what's wrong and what's right. So I applaud this documentary for its boldness in showing the reality that members of the LGBT who belong in an organized religion face in life.

This documentary is very insightful and helpful for all the family who are struggling. The most essential point of this documentary is acceptance; accepting the person you love no matter what. If all parents and family are like Edi's family, then life will be more calm and peaceful. No more judgement. No lifetime struggles. The LGBT community will not have to always fight for their right, because it is their right to be who they choose to be.

  • Transitions are hard more so when the whole physical and mental aspect of a person is involved... I hope there are more documentaries and films about people struggling to know and accept themselves...
