'The Way He Looks' is a sweet and fluffy teen love story. I can see why it has been such a hit, it makes you feel warm inside. It did feel a bit like a short film padded out into a feature (incidentally, it started life as a short film). The role of the grandmother was pure padding. Liked it but didn't fall for it in the end. With so few films that tackle disability and homosexuality in such a sweet and PG way, they should make it compulsory viewing for kids at school.
