Everything is this film was portrayed vividly. Young romance, discovery of one's self, exploring a new way of life, knowing and acknowledging your dream - all of these collided to make a perfect movie of self discovery.  Depicts the purity of young love that knows no boundaries, it makes you daydream about your first kiss. The whole summer season adds up to the romantic vibe the film has already offered; the planes gave so much life to the film. More from Alante Kavaite, will surely keep you fall in love.

\r\nParis-based Lithuanian filmmaker Alante Kavaite returns to her home turf of Lithuania for this heartfelt snapshot of summer love and self-discovery between two young girls. \r\n\r\nAfter first meeting at a local aerobatics show, Auste (Dirziute), sells a raffle ticket to Sangaile (Steponaityte), a tall, slender 17-year-old who is spending the summer at her family’s lake house. The attraction movies quickly from mild crush to all-consuming infatuation, with the free-spirited Auste leading in the blossoming relationship. \r\n\r\nThis film has been a critically acclaimed winner on the film festival circuit and is a great coming-of-age tale between the two girls as they fall in love. Certainly well worth watching.

Yippee! Simply can't get enough of films like these. Much more spirited than My Summer of Love, with gorgeous girls on display, frolicking in gorgeous countryside, and directed by a woman so no leeriness, just pure unadulterated innocence in all its beauty. That it has come from an ex-Soviet country just makes it that bit sweeter. Can't wait to watch again. My friends and I were debating long into the night.

  • This film reminds me of the Dutch film "Supernova" which I saw here earlier. Really can't get enough of these "coming of age" films!
