THE SHINING is one of those films that you just can't go over with, you fall in love with it like a madman. The impactful performance of Jack Nicholson will surely make you want to close your eyes; the anticipated theatrical appearances of characters in the middle of a silent space is horrifying. The twist and ending is applaudably memorable. I have not read Stephen King's novel (The Shining) but I hope to god this movie justifies all the horrendous events indited in one of his best novels.
