Twenty two minutes was not enough for The Last Time I Saw Richard to unfold. The film introduces 2 young boys admitted into a mental health facility. Acting by the 2 boys were spectacular especially with Jonah. Despite of this, The Last Time I Saw Richard still fails to fully explore every topic it introduces. Solid acting and an absorbing plot, however, gives this film 3.5 stars!

Despite its run-time of 22mins, The Last Time I Saw Richard suffers from numerous good premises with little time to be unraveled. In the film, two boys become friends in a commonly dark situation. Both of them are admitted into a mental health facility. This premise is already applauding on its own but the film introduces more. One could only wonder how The Last Time I Saw Richard would turn out if given more time for these premises to be fully explored. Solid acting by Jonah, however, carried this film despite the difficulty with time.
