An odd combination of robbers with a cunning con-man as leader. This is said to be a remake of the 1955 film, I haven't seen the original one though but this version is surely epic. The reason would be because I had a lot of laughs! Tom Hanks as  Professor G.H. Darr as always delivers a phenomenal performance although he's no match to the landlady Marva, portrayed by Irma Hall. This is a mainstream film alright, with all these known actors in the cast. Tzi Ma whom I remember was in the Rush Hour films of Jackie Chan was outstanding, J.K. Simmons who was in the Spider Man movies was enigmatic and Marlon Wayans, whom I remember was convincing as a woman in White Chicks  was funny as he can be. I had a blast watching this film,  never mind if others reacted negatively to it. If it made you laugh, then it must be good!

Why is it only 5 stars as the highest rating?! Coz I'm giving this flick a rating of perfect 10!  The Coen brothers slays another hit with this one, and with a stellar cast to boot! Tom Hanks as the top con-man was dashing yet deceitful and his group was an unlikely mixture of personalities and races. Marlon Wayans played the usual comedic role and surprised to se Tzi Ma holding his own amidst the group. Of course, the most credit should be to Irma Hall as the pesky landlady and rightly so, she bagged countless acting awards for her performance here. Warning: you may hit the floor laughing..so..hard!!! Do check this out folks.
