The Guest is very unassuming at first, but it slowly unravels and builds to a tense, terrifying ending. The lead actor is a bit smug, but he does a good job. I didn't quite get the entire premise behind why he's a lethal killer, but this film is engaging and thrilling enough to make up for that. It starts out light, but gets very dark and heavy by the end.
