Quite possibly one of Catherine Corsini's most sensual productions, this story of forbidden passions in the 1970's is bursting with heart. I'm sure this film was in production around the same time as 'Blue Is The Warmest Colour', which must have stolen quite a bit of its fire, but they are very different films. Cecile de France has played lesbian roles before (L'Auberge Espagnol, High Tension) so rounds off a hat-tick with aplomb by giving us one of her best perfromances (in a much meatier role), sparking a wonderful chemistry with co-star Higelin which comes across as so natural that you'll fall for both of them.
