This movie has a lot of elements that lured me in. It's a psychological thriller, Wentworth Miller's screenplay, the versatile Nicole Kidman, the ingenious Mia Wasikowska, the former rom-com leading man, Matthew Goode and of course, Oldboy's Park Chan-Wook. As expected from Park Chan-Wook's style, the movie is filled with exquisitely shot and emotionally disturbing scenes. This alone is worth the viewing. Add a dose of the ever adaptable Kidman, a mysterious Matthew Goode and a repressed Wasikowska, you got yourself a beautifully crafted thriller reminiscent of Hitchcock's films.
