Silent Youth is a film that moved me from the moment I watched it. The cinematography of the film is a masterpiece in this LGBT genre, there are very long scenes whereby the viewer needs to concentrate to be able to interpret the body language of the young actors. This centres around 2 young lads and a chance meeting in the city of Berlin. This evokes emotions in the young pair that leads to the moments I'd call "pre-coming out". The moments that you know that you have feelings towards someone, the moments whereby the glance at someone has more meaning than how it can be explained, the moments when lust turns into anger, the moments when silence has more meaning than talking, I could go on. Give this movie a chance, there are long scenes often with very minimal dialogue and the ending still haunts me to this day.
