This underappreciated film is completely nuts - I loved it! You can tell Wes Craven was given a lot of free rein here to do whatever the hell he wanted, and the mish-mash he conjures up is a totally unique and wacky ride. Either that or what was a pretty straightforward and gory serial killer film was halted halfway through production and ordered by studio execs to morph into a sci-fi/comedy/ghost movie. Complete with a reclining chair that comes to life (!) and a toddler driving a tractor. You have to watch this and be in complete awe at its audacity. You don't get films like this any more...
