A very strange but intense exploration of teenage desire, peer pressure and competitiveness, suffused with a Wild West vibe (!) - this little known Swedish film is one to discover. The actresses are incredible, especially considering they are debut performers (they were cast for their skills at 'voltige' - horseback acrobatics) and the youngest girl, sister of the main protagonist, is a real gem of a find. Her interactions with her babysitter are beguiling. I really enjoyed this Scandi curio and look forward to what the directress comes up with next.
