OK Michael Haneke - fess up! We all know that you took the idea for 'Funny Games' from this obscure B-movie from back in the day. Although it has dated quite a bit in many respects, some of the themes, the in-jokes and homosexual vibes in particular, are thoroughly modern. The performances are genuinely creepy, the cinematography assured and Hitchcokian, and Kate Manx gives a fantastic turn as a supposedly ditzy blonde who "wasn't fine before, but I am now".
