Despite a ludicrous storyline, this tale of holding up a mirror to current society and the new normal is very effective in its storytelling. It's always great to see fresh perspectives on LGBT tropes from within, shaking up the status quo (yes, LGBT cinema has its stereotypes too!). The performances are very good, and the camera occasionally takes a break from the drama for some lovely segues. Sci-fi? Not quite, but hopefully with a feature version of this film, there would be some interesting possibilities. Recommended.
