If ever there was a film that made you want to go back to your youth and move to Australia at the same time - this is it. Stunning ocean cinematography paired with oodles of athletic and beautiful kids having a whale of a time - it at times verges on being a little too gorgeous, but there's a healthy dose of a darker storyline to keep things balanced, while the usual teen movie tropes (family disputes, crushes, bullying) are all present and correct. A gay brother subplot is handled sweetly.
