I  have no idea that stick-fighting looks this good and promising, especially when it comes to fighting off the bad guys.  Locally we refer to this technique as arnis but for this man to topple down  a group just by this technique was unbelievably a feat. The lead actor was quite convincing in his character as the local hero.

The acting portrayals are quite commendable especially that of the lead character. This young warrior puts to good use  his fighting skills with the help of sticks, somewhat like arnis, in defeating a group of thugs who terrorize and rob the people in the community.  It was not an easy task, with the group having long firearms but the young warrior was able to defeat them one by one with his smart antics and fighting skills. The lady who plays the role of Sally is commendable for acting naturally.  I  noticed that some of the actors are familiar faces and have starred in a number of other African films from that era.

The young man in this film is brave enough to be able to topple a group of armed ex-cons, to think he only has a pair of sticks  to protect himself.  There are scenes that seem to drag but viewers also get entertained once in a while because there are comedic scenes involving some of the characters. These ex-cons, while heavily-armed look stupid and slow in the head especially that actor with few teeth missing.

  • An African crime yet comedy film that will amuse you  at certain times although some of the actors need more polishing in the acting department.
