An anxious woman navigates the bustle of modern day Cairo to find her missing lover, a young adult strives for an authentic connection in a future society numbed by alcohol, and two Cold War-era lovers face the consequences of finding romance across political borders.

A vibrant collection of short films - by turns gritty and dreamlike - exploring the changes and complexities of a Love Evolving.

Shams dir. Pauline Beugnies
Eden, a 30-year-old Belgian woman, works in a cultural center a few thousand kilometers away from her home, in the bustling capital of Cairo. She makes a life-changing encounter with a young woman named Shams. One day, Shams brutally disappears. With the support and friendship of two valiant young Egyptians, Eden starts a fight against her own fears, denials and bias to find Shams.

Sober Love dir. Guillermo Trochon
The water war causes the levels of alcohol consumption to rise as a daily use. People live absolutely drunk and wait for moments of happiness to sober up. Luna wants to go to a party, and her friend gets her water so she can live a real night.

The Ash-Eye dir. Vincent Annen
Fanny and Lise, two young adults, have been a couple for many years. One night, a mysterious black object falls down in their lawn. After touching it, the two women lose consciousness. When they wake up, they each notice strange physical transformations in their left eye as their relationship is called into question...

Persephone Mara dir. Beau Han Bridge
Memory, love, and mental health are explored in this hybrid-fiction-cinema-play about two adolescents that decide to escape from the world around them.

The Burning Bush dir. Noam Greif
A poetic story of letting go. Danny, a sensitive young woman, mourns the loss of her ex-girlfriend, symbolized by a small plant. Danny's mother wants her daughter to bury the memories, but when the dust settles something more powerful remains, which will not die.

Tomorrow Island dir. Gwenn Joyaux
At the dawn of the Cold War, a young Soviet telegraphist makes a desperate attempt to save her American lover from being stranded on the Russian side of the Bering Strait after receiving a border closure message.
