A brilliant take on puberty and of a  girl coming to terms with her own physical limitations and life in general.  Great support cast and Gordon Pinsent, multi-awarded Canadian actor and writer, who plays the girl's grandpa, was perfect for the role.  The grandpa's words echoes the genuine reality of this thing called life.  To quote his words: "Growing old is scary. Although it may see to be the worst period of your entire life, it never really gets easier. So you might as well suck it up! "

  • The film is short and sweet. But the message rings true to what life is like.

  • Life doesn't frighten me. Giant yellow bird costumes do. But seriously, a really sweet film.
