This is a very heartwarming film that focuses on Jewish family relationships and Hassidic family practices and norms. The powerhouse cast alone is a force to reckon in this movie with commendable performances from Isabella Rosselini, Maximilian Schell, Laura Fraser and David Bradley.  Bradley as the grouchy concierge steals the show while Laura Fraser shines in her role as Chaya. Having been employed as a nanny with the Kalmans has made Chaya a more matured girl while discovering the ways of the Hassidic Jews.  Her scenes with the boy Simcha, the son of the Kalmans was very affecting and poignant, these are the scenes that will forever be etched in my memory with this movie. This is a must-watch!
