Kate & Leopold Synopsis

When her scientist ex-boyfriend discovers a portal to travel through time -- and brings back a 19th-century nobleman named Leopold to prove it -- a skeptical Kate reluctantly takes responsibility for showing Leopold the 21st century. The more time Kate spends with Leopold, the harder she falls for him. But if he doesn't return to his own time, his absence will forever alter history.

Hugh Jackman may be best known for his physical portrayal of Wolverine; however, many people undervalue the talent and ability of one of Hollywood and Broadway's greatest actors. One film that perfectly showcases Jackmans' acting capability is Kate & Leopold. Essentially a Nora Ephron fairy tale with a sci-fi twist, Kate & Leopold is comfortable viewing for old romantics. However, Jackman is marvelous in the role of Leopold, a time-travelling bachelor from 1867 in search of love in modern New York, and who would you find to be the perfect love in 2001, none other than queen of the romantic comedies, Meg Ryan. Perfect!
