While watching the film, the saying "money is the root of all evil" comes to mind. In this case, it's a golden treasure that causes conflict and puts a strain into the friendship of a group of young boys. What was once a good relationship made way for bickerings and arguments, the greed and self-interest seems to consume the young men.  The concluding scene however will make them realize that the cursed gold is meant to be owned by noone. This adventure film gives viewers a glimpse of the local African landscapes , terrains and rivers teeming with crocodiles.

Funny but I realized the thief in this film seems to be always eaten by a crocodile as it was during a previous movie I've seen that featured the actor. This story about a golden treasure leads a group of boys  into an adventure to find it. But when they finally found the treasure it gets stolen by a thief who wants it by himself.  This turns out to be a tale of cursed treasures and the consequences of greediness.  Quite engaging to watch and the acting performances are quite commendable.

  • the story reminds us of adventure trips as teeners.  acting performances are okay although at times I find it awkward but it's very heartwarming to see films like these from Africa!
