  • It's not my favourite from the Cohen brothers... I know they are famous for slowly building up the story and characters but I felt the slow build up of a character going nowhere was not enough. I really enjoyed the soundtrack however and Oscar Isaac's performance is brilliant. At the same time I did see what they wanted to achieve in telling Llewyn's story and they created a rhythm which was beautiful in aesthetics and sound. When I really look back on this film I like it more when I think about the character and mise-en-scene.
