I Can’t Think Straight centres on the relationship between the rich, headstrong Tala, a Jordanian woman and terminal engagement-breaker who faces extreme pressure to marry a well-off Middle-Eastern man, and Leyla, a talented but introspective Indian-British woman who faces similar pressure at home. The two naturally meet and fall in love. Viewers familiar with lesbian films will be able to call the ending (and all major points of conflict) long before the credits roll on the film.  In that sense its a fairly predictable film, albeit it does gives some interesting insights into how a Middle Eastern family and an Indian family would react to such a relationship occurring. Certainly predictable but nonetheless it has a certain cuteness about it which does, in some ways, make it enjoyable viewing.
