Who said your Grandmother couldn't be a Hip Hop star?
Hip Hop-eration Synopsis

These senior citizens may each be almost a century young, but for Kara, (94) Maynie (95) and Terri (93) the journey to Las Vegas and the World Hip Hop Dance Championships is just the beginning of a life's journey. And along with twenty-seven other nonagenarians they defy the odds and hip-hop their way into the hearts and minds of thousands of young fans from around the world. Led by their exuberant and 'I must have been mad,' manager Billie Jordan they learn to throw away their wheelchairs and walking sticks and push their bodies and artificial joints to the absolute limits of old age.

These almost-centenarians are truly remarkable!  To think that they have already been through a lot and with physical pain and other illnesses  getting in the way,  it's a wonder that they can still participate in a dance championship in Las Vegas. This just goes to show that there's no limit to what the mind can conceive and with their sheer determination they were able to show to the world that they still can do things normally only reserved for the younger generation.  Needless to say, these elder people are living inspirations.

Watching this film makes me think of my own grandma who has remained active even during her old age.  This is immensely inspiring and to see these  elderly people prancing and stretching their limbs is just pure delight.  I begin to wonder if I can still manage to do the things they're doing here when I reach 70!  Viewers will definitely want to dance the hip hop along while being inspired  with these amazing elders.

  • totally love this! This should inspire us all to get on our feet and dance.  One granny  says it perfectly with these words: " I've always wanted to die, dancing!"
