The plot is quite familiar for most of us by now,  a certain virus, a certain disease.   But for me, what makes this film special is  its actors: from the  doctor, to the infected child to the parents.  All four of them were outstanding and  their interaction in the scenes was spot-on. There was rapport and each of them gave justice to their roles without outshining each other.  Great cinematography, too. This is a must-watch!
