Sarah is a teenager who lives with her grandmother Marta and her young sister in Byblos, Lebanon. The family is stigmatized by the small community because Sarah's mother has left them. The family's life is turned upside down when Marta discovers that the Virgin Mary icon in her back yard is dripping oil- it's a miracle! Marta becomes the center of the town's attention while Sarah's skepticism strains their relationship. As tides of people flock to their house to catch a glimpse of the miracle, Sarah tries to reconcile her identity as a 'cool teenager' with that of her religious family. 'Teta' is a universal story about faith, family and the true miracles that change hearts and minds.
